EVENTS

Vivacity, creativity, and unconventionality are earmarks of Tesauro’s programs, which make for lively, outside-the-box experiences
— FORBES

SUMMER SUPPER SOMM | 2021-2025

Tesauro co-founded with Virginia’s top tomato famers, an experiential, farm-to-fork event series encompassing five states and 85+ sold-out events. Summer Supper Somm earned national accolades for raising awareness of regenerative agriculture and building partnerships with artisan farmers, regional chefs, and local wines.

roberT parker’s evening of unicorns | 2023

Tesauro and a team of sommeliers served an evening of extraordinary wines. At the center of it all: the most influential wine critic of the past century, the Japanese sister and brother team who created The Drops of God, and two 19th-century paragons including planet Earth’s last known magnum of 1870 Lafite-Rothschild.

If you want to geek out on the backstory and such, the full tale – including Scotland’s Glamis Castle, the 13th Earl of Strathmore, Sir Michael Broadbent – and lineup of wines is worth a read HERE.

kentucky derby | 2019, 2022

Tesauro was commissioned by LDG Development Co-Founder Chris Dischinger to produce and execute Derby Week happenings for150 people. Duties included curation and procurement of wine flights and pairings, rare whiskies and spirits, craft cocktails, caviar tasting, cacao + amaro bar, Madeira from Triple Crown-winning vintages, and sabrage with a Methuselah of vintage Champagne.

PHILLY CHEF CONFERENCE PRESENTS: BO BECH POP-UP @ GREEN MEADOW FARM | 2020

Tesauro collaborated with Copenhagen’s Bo Bech to produce an intimate, experiential dinner in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County. While Bo wrangled ingredients around the fire, Tesauro poured, pranced, and entranced around the table.

Philly Chef Conference and Drexel's Department of Food & Hospitality Management helped organize an event utilizing local ingredients, many grown on-the-spot by the Brendle family at their Green Meadow Farm.

In what turned to be a Grand Finale of the golden age before COVID closed the world, sixteen guests gathered in a humble farm family home and shared a soul-nourishing night of complex simple pleasures: open-hearth cooking, open-heart sharing, bread, broth, wine, and poetry.

MENU by Bo Bech

Quail eggs with vintage vinegar and red spicebush seeds

Sweet potato with caviar and strawberries

Herbs, winter leafs and flowers with goats whey

Scallop with grains of paradise and brown butter

Cauliflower mushroom broth

Spinach with oysters and bone marrow

Rutabaga with yellow tomato water

Duck with cardamom leafs and arabica

Spruce honey with milk fat and blueberries

I am honored to have shared space, dialogue, and a phenomenal meal.

Jason’s unrelenting ability to engage our audience at Sail Across the Sun was remarkable. He had each person in the palm of his hand; hooked on every word. Jason’s ability to explain complex topics in a down-to-earth, approachable manner made him the talk of the ship. Our cruisers thoroughly enjoyed all of the classes that Jason lead - truly a Modern Gentleman.

HAPPY 35TH BIRTHDAY 1982! | 2017

To celebrate the vaunted 1982 vintage in Bordeaux, Tesauro assembled one bottle each of the legendary First Growths: Châteaux Lafite Rothschild, Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Margaux, and Haut Brion. Complete with a playlist of hits from 1982, an intimate group gathered to taste about $13,500 worth of rare gems.

Most other presenters at a session like that would have opened the bottles ‘off stage,’ and significantly reduced the pressure on himself. Tesauro is not like most other presenters, however. He waited to open the bottles in front of the crowd, which was a dramatic effect that very much helped to give them their money’s worth.

Chef’s Penthouse at Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living London | 2014

As Master of Ceremonies and Guest Sommelier for week-long pop-up with Michelin-starred chefs Robert Wiedmaier (Washington, DC) and Simon Hulstone (Torquay, UK), Tesauro introduced Virginia wines to UK media and learned British palates.

The exuberant Jason Tesauro, who had also flown over especially for the event, presented matching wines with each course, complete with highly entertaining descriptions – transfixing everyone with his unique talent for storytelling.
— Felicity Spector, GreatBritishChefs.com
Most interesting wines, of a great selection, were a Viognier from Virginia USA and from the same state a powerful Nebbiolo. A real eye-opening choice of wines many of us had never even heard of, let alone drunk before.

COACHELLA | 2011

Billionaire Sean Parker commissioned Tesauro to curate three days of house parties with libations and experiences attended by A-list musicians, actors, and celebrities. What do you do when DJ Alex Jones is on the aux, filmmaker Hunter Richards is on the lens, and Lizzie Jagger is on the chaise longue? Tesauro assembled a team including legendary bartender Brian Miller of Pegu Club and Death & Co. as well as famed South African winemaker Adi Badenhorst.

Epic, epic party.

Lindsay Lohan with Tesauro’s Champagne saber. Yes, it was that kind of party.
